Let’s get started!

What you will need:
1.) Winamp
2.) Output splitter plugin for Winamp (Alternate 1, Alternate 2)
3.) Virtual Audio Cable (Not free!)

What to do:
1.) Install Winamp normally

2.) Make sure Winamp is not running

3.) Copy the output splitter plugin (out_split.dll) to your Winamp plugins directory (usually “C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins“)

4.) In the same plugins directory, make a copy of out_ds.dll, I named mine out_ds2.dll (Make sure you copy, not create a shortcut!)
5.) Install Virtual Audio Cable

5a.) Make sure your Input/Output defaults don’t get set to the virtual audio cable!

6.) Open Winamp, click Options>Preferences, scroll down to Plugins>Output in the list on the left

7.) Click the plugin named “Split output plug-in 0.1” and click Configure at the bottom of the box

8.) For Output plug-in 1, type “Plugins\out_ds.dll” and for Output plug-in 2, type “Plugins\out_ds2.dll“

9.) Click “Config Plug-in 1“, select your speakers or whatever your main sound driver is, click Apply/OK when done configuring

10.) Click “Config Plug-in 2“, select your ‘Virtual Audio Cable’ from the list of sound drivers, click Apply/OK when done configuring

11.) Close the Split Plug-in Config window

12.) Click the Split output plug-in 0.1 and click Close

13.) Open Ventrilo (or whatever you are trying to stream music or sound through) and configure it to use your Virtual Audio Cable as the Input

14.) Play your music via Winamp and press your button you press to talk (or set it to voice recognition mode)
